Hi, I’m Nathan Chambers
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) and serve as the principal clinician at Citadel Wellness Group. I’m a long-time resident of the Greater Cleveland area and have spent much of my career helping individuals work through difficult aspects of their life experiences. I completed my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Akron and was first licensed in Ohio in 2017. Since then I’ve offered leadership services to numerous area organizations and I’m now a Doctoral Student at Kent State University.
While I’m passionate about working with people with a wide range of presenting concerns— I’m dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to people overcoming traumatic experiences, chronic anxiety/depression and life transitions. I have extensive experience working with victims of crime, military personnel, and individuals working in essential/critical careers paths. Regardless of your presenting concern, I promise to offer a space for you to be heard and through any diagnosis or treatment plan— we’ll work through this together.
My Approach
It all begins with collaboratively setting YOUR goals. My approach to therapy is relational and focused on personal growth. I believe successful treatment of mental health issues is rooted in empowerment, authenticity, and mutual respect. In addition to being non-judgmental I strive to use Gestalt and Positive Psychology to help my clients move towards their goals while reducing the impact of their clinical symptomology.
Collaboration
Counseling isn’t about passing on advice. My sessions will focus on strength-building through integrative techniques and rapport building.
Authenticity
My mission is for clients to feel like they can be themselves. I help individual gain clarity, self-awareness and the tools they need to build confidence, resilience and coping skills.
